A Small Change to Help Keep Our Cafe Open

Running a community cafe is one of the greatest joys we have — it’s a place where people meet friends, relax, and enjoy good food and drink. To make sure we can keep the cafe open and operating sustainably, we’re bringing in a small change to the way orders are handled. It’s simple, and we hope you’ll find it just as easy (if not easier!) than before.

What’s Changing?
From now on, all orders — whether it’s drinks, snacks, or food — will still be placed at the counter, just as you’ve always done. The only difference is in how payment works:
Drinks and snacks will be paid for at the counter when you order.
Food will be paid for at your table once you’ve finished eating.
That’s it! Nothing else about your cafe experience will change.
Why Are We Doing This?
The cafe is run with care and love, but like many small hospitality spaces, it operates on very tight margins. By separating payments for food and drinks/snacks, we can manage our costs more effectively and keep offering freshly prepared meals without having to increase prices or reduce our menu.
This approach helps us stay open for the community and ensures that everyone can continue enjoying the space without interruption.
What Does This Mean for You?
Hopefully, not much at all — except perhaps a more relaxed experience. You’ll still:
Order at the counter as usual
Find your seat and enjoy your time
Have your food served to your table
Our team will simply come to your table to settle the bill for any food items.
Thank You for Supporting the Cafe
Every visit, every cuppa, every slice of cake, and every friendly chat helps keep this place alive. These small adjustments help us continue offering the warm welcome, good food, and comfortable space you’ve come to expect.
Thank you, as always, for being part of our cafe community.
