Introducing the Giddy Goat Community Cafe

Over the past month, you may or may not have spotted some changes at The Giddy Goat — from new signage and updated menus to revised opening hours. These updates have marked the beginning of our next chapter: we are proud to share that The Giddy Goat Coffee Shop has become The Giddy Goat Community Cafe.

When we started at the Giddy Goat in January, our goal was to create more than just a coffee shop — we wanted to build a place where the whole community could feel at home. That’s why we’ve already made some changes, like updating our opening hours to help families and parents from the lower school just across the way. And there’s more to come — we’re working closely with the Riseley Children’s Centre and Community Hub to bring you more community-focused activities and events, so keep an eye out!

We’ve also refreshed our menu to make sure there’s something for everyone. And don’t forget to check our specials board — that’s where you’ll find seasonal dishes and customer favourites making a return!

Another of our aims is to support local businesses. That’s why we continue to serve Wooden Hill Coffee from Ampthill — we love their perfect blend. We also stock preserves and products from The Stables Christian Centre in Bolnhurst, get our eggs from Birds Bros just down the road, and now even sell Riseley honey. And of course, we can’t forget our favourite cake maker, Julia of JP Cards and Cakes, whose scrumptious cakes and bakes are a firm favourite with our customers.

We’d love you to be part of creating the community atmosphere here at the cafe. We have a number of volunteer opportunities each week, so if you’re interested, simply get in touch by email or phone and we’ll happily add you to our list.

Whether you’re a regular or popping in for the first time, we can’t wait to welcome you soon! And if you have any feedback or ideas, please do get in touch — we’re always looking for ways to improve and to support the Riseley community.
